Learning depends on sharing knowledge. But more important than the number of articles you may read, is the scientific quality of each one you chose to learn from. Porto Biomedical Journal aims to support and foment excellency in research, namely by the creation of awards.
Banco Santander Totta also shares this purpose, by promoting knowledge and merit by developing internship programmes, international mobility programmes for students and by creating academic merit prizes, as well as social and curricular scholarships and scientific awards for research.
Therefore, in the first year of publication, Porto Biomedical Journal (PBJ), together with Banco Santander Totta, created the Santander Scientific Excellency Award, in order to distinguish a publication in any of areas of knowledge encompassed by the biomedical field.
All original works, in full text, submitted to PBJ until the 31st December 2016 and subsequently accepted for publication in the journal are automatically included in the contest.
The chosen publication, determined by a jury composed of renowned personalities in several scientific areas, will be awarded with a prize worth of 1750€.
