Obtained her degree in Nursing in February 2006, from the School of Nursing of University of Minho. In March 2012 she finished her PhD in Childhood Studies, with the specialization in Childhood health. Since 2006 Rafaela Rosário is an assistant professor at University of Minho. With her tenacious and proactive approach resulted in the development of knowledge and skills in the field of child´s health. During the work at the University of Minho and utilizing excellent communication skills, she developed teaching at graduate and post-graduated nursing students, was involved in curriculum development activities, served on graduate committees, independent study activities, internships, and rendered service to the professional or lay community, which is relevant to the individual's academic specialty. With a broad experience in designing projects, writing grant applications and completing logistic issues of the projects, she developed and maintained successful research projects in the field of child health, eating patterns, family centered care, determinants of lifestyles, health promotion and health education. With a broad experience in the liaison to the community she contributed to professional organizations in the community, namely childcare centers and schools, conducting continuing education courses, providing consultation and conducting applied research.
